ANNA

SYNOPSIS

Anna, a middle-aged single mother, lives in a small industrial town in war-torn Eastern Ukraine. Despite not having been out for years, she is lured by a radio advertisement to attend a party of foreign men who are touring the country, searching for love.

Director’s Biography

Dekel Berenson is a writer, activist and graphic designer. Dekel explores real-world social and humanitarian issues. His second short film, "Ashmina" won several prizes, including Best Short Film award at the 59th Krakow Film Festival and Best Live Action Short at the 36th Jerusalem Film Festival, qualifying the short to compete for the upcoming Academy Awards. His third film, "Anna", premiered as Official Selection in Competition at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival.
