BOY GENIUS

SYNOPSIS

Emmett is a junior at Heart High School and a highly imaginative twelve year-old genius. After his brother Luke, also a junior and Emmett’s best friend, is accused of being involved in a rash of thefts at school, Emmett must find a way to prove his innocence before their mom ships Luke off to boarding school. Emmett enlists the help of his sixty-something SAT tutor and crime novelist, Mary, to help him find the real culprit. Together, with the assistance of his oddball friends and a benevolent science teacher, Emmett and Mary set out to prove Luke’s innocence.

Director’s Biography

Bridget Stokes is a director who recently completed the feature comedy Boy Genius, starring Miles Brown (Blackish) and Rita Wilson. Stokes directed and produced festival-award-winning short film, Think Fast and wrote, directed and produced the feature film Herman & Shelly, which was distributed by Cinetic, and re-released by Seed & Spark. Stokes graduated from Brown University with a degree in Art Semiotics and Africana Studies and resides in Los Angeles.
