In China, in the early 1990’s, a little boy and his family have just come to live in a large factory complex. As he explores his new surroundings, he comes across other boys his age playing ping-pong — and discovers that they are fascinated by a cute little girl who spends her days looking out from the window of an upstairs apartment. Wanting to know more about the girl, he comes up with his own unique way of starting a friendship with her.

Curtis scrubs blood from the kitchen tile. Over him stands the ghost of Denise. She ruthlessly chastises him, telling him that he will be arrested for her murder. In the bathroom her body lies. Curtis puts it into his pickup truck. They argue all the way to a dark and forested area. There, Curtis buries her. Only upon leaving her body and returning to his vehicle is he truly faced with the guilt of her murder. This is when he is hit by a car. In the end, both Curtis and Denise end up murdered and buried in the woods.

When her little nephew accuses another customer of hitting him, Ketta jumps to action using this as an opportunity for her to gain approval from her mother.
